Understanding Legal Battles

After struggling for years to wrap my head around the legal drama in the news, I was faced with a pretty big challenge of my own. My son was accused of a crime that he swore he didn't commit, although I was a little less than convinced. However, after evaluating the facts, I could tell that he was telling the truth, so we hired a professional lawyer who could help us through the challenge of fighting the charges. The lawyer worked hard to make things right, and within a few short months, my son was in the clear. Read more about legal problems in this blog.

Three Types Of Injuries That Are Common During Warmer Weather

It's never a good thing to get injured. Not only do injuries cause you pain and suffering, they also prevent you from relaxing and having fun. Getting injured is especially frustrating during the warmer months of the year when you want to be active outside. Unfortunately, however, with the warmer weather, there are certain types of injuries that happen more frequently.

Here are three types of injuries that are common during the warmer months of the year.

1. Grilling Injuries

If you love to host barbecues, you probably can't wait until the temperatures warm up so you can finally fire up the outdoor grill. When it comes to grilling, however, you will need to exercise caution, as it can be quite hazardous. According to the latest statistics, over 16,000 people were injured due to a grilling accident.

Not only can outdoor grills cause burn injuries, but some people have been known to swallow a grill brush bristle, which contains small metal wires. Swallowing one of these bristles can cause damage to the throat and intestines.

2. Landscaping Injuries

If you love to do yardwork, landscaping is another area that can be dangerous if you're not careful. Many injuries occur as a result of the following:

  • Improper use of landscaping equipment
  • Repetitive lifting and bending
  • Falling from ladders and trees
  • Spending too much time in the sun

The most common types of injuries that these things cause include sprains, strains, heat stroke, and lacerations. Getting injured in a lawnmower accident is especially common, and each year this type of accident causes 80,000 people in the United States to seek medical treatment.

3. Swimming Pool Injuries

For those who love to swim, hitting the pool can be a great way to cool off and relax, but swimmers do need to be aware of some common injuries that can be sustained while spending time at the pool. Most swimmers are injured in the following ways:

  • They are submerged underwater for too long
  • They dive headfirst into a shallow pool of water
  • They fall on a wet, slippery surface.
  • They don't use inflatable pool toys correctly

On average, 4,900 people end up in the emergency each year because of swimming pool injuries and about 10 people die each day in drowning accidents.

If you sustain any one of these types of injuries that are common during warmer weather, and it was due to negligence or someone else was at fault, don't hesitate to contact personal injury attorneys, like Trump & Trump, in your area.
